Look at the functioning of a fifth grade group, its characterization
Keywords:
school group, group functioning, characterizationAbstract
This article deals with the functioning of the group in the school environment, due to its value as a context of influence on the personality and aims at proposing a set of indicators favoring the characterization of school group as a socio psychological phenomenon. Theoretical methods such as analysis and synthesis and inductive deductive were used as well as the survey and observation in order to know about the expectations of the fifth grade students regarding their school group and the behavior of the group members in the activities they carried out. The data was processed through percentage analysis and complemented with qualitative analysis that allowed establishing links between the main data, in the form of methodological triangulation, and identifying insufficiencies and potentialities associated with interpersonal relationships, norms and values, which allowed assessing the group cohesion as low. These results show the need to carry out the characterization and a dynamic diagnosis of the group's functioning, in order to implement pedagogical alternatives that increase its potential to mobilize its members in the fulfillment of the planned socio-educational objectives, while developing their personality.
