This article, with its historical-documentary and qualitative approach, addresses the training of higher education graduates on the Isle of Youth. Its objective is to reveal the stages of the training process for graduates at the Jesús Montané Oropesa University on the Isle of Youth. Achieving this objective will allow for the identification of successes and areas for improvement to enhance the quality of higher education in the region. The historical-logical methods, documentary and content analysis, analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive reasoning, and systematization yielded the following results: identification of the three main stages of graduate training at the university and the development of models to improve the quality of this process. The article explains the progress made in infrastructure development, the opening of new degree programs, and academic internationalization, as well as the evolution of professional development models. The report notes persistent challenges such as limited integration between universities and employers, the lack of structured job placement programs, and the need for sustainable strategies for continuous professional development. The findings fulfill the objective by identifying the patterns, achievements, and challenges in professional training and development on the Isle of Youth, contributing elements for improving educational policy.
