Academic networks and their convergence with artificial intelligence: characterization
Keywords:
open science, collaborative knowledge, education, AI, development policies, social networksAbstract
The aim of This article is to present the convergence between academic networks and artificial intelligence (AI), examining their transformations, opportunities, and the ethical and governance challenges that emerge from this intersection. For the treatment of the topic, the process of searching and retrieving information was applied, in particular a bibliographic survey of authors and updated sources (2020-2025), indexed in recognized databases for a synthetic and prospective study. The findings show that AI impacts the transformations of academic networks through the optimization of collaboration, the identification of research patterns, and the acceleration of scientific discovery. However, challenges requiring special attention are identified, such as problems of authorship attribution, algorithmic biases, technological dependence, and the potential erosion of critical skills. The integration of AI.
