Impact of the eXeLearning tool on the learning of argumentative skills in high school

In today's world, argumentative skills are essential for oral and written communication. Therefore, educational processes must be innovated to enhance these skills through digital resources that foster critical thinking and reading comprehension. Therefore, the objective is to determine the impact of using eXeLearning on the learning of argumentative skills among first-year students of the Unified General Baccalaureate at the "Victoria Vásconez Cuvi - Simón Bolívar - Elvira Ortega" Educational Unit during the 2023-2024 school year. The methodology used a quantitative approach, a quasi-experimental design with a single group and a cross-sectional approach. The technique used was a knowledge test (pre- and post-test), and the instrument was a structured questionnaire. The population consisted of first-year high school students, who were subjected to a non-probability sampling with intentionality, which is why 24 students were selected. The results revealed a significant improvement in post-test grades, with an increase of 21%. The Wilcoxon W statistical test statistically validated that eXeLearning favors learning and the development of argumentative skills. For this reason, the incorporation of eXeLearning into the learning process proves to be effective in improving performance and developing argumentative skills in students, being an innovative strategy that contributes to educational quality.
