The ideological and political preparation of new generations is essential for the development of a just, equitable and democratic society. In this sense, education has a great responsibility to ensure a promising future for our society. With the spread and development of the concept of “Ideological and Political Teaching in the Courses” in many specialties of Chinese universities, new energy emerged. However, in the Hispanic Philology major at LinYi University, the teaching reform related to the aforementioned concept is scarce, which limits the development of the educational level. The purpose of this article is to analyze the implementation of the reforms in Ideological and Political Teaching in the Courses in China, present the particularities of this process in the current context of LinYi University and present an analysis with specific suggestions to promote the process of construction of Ideological and Political Teaching in the Courses, and thus lay the foundations for further studies. The study was carried out through data collection, documentary review, participant observation, the application of empirical methods to students and teachers, and the systematization record of experiences. The study allowed us to recognize that teachers and students focus on the knowledge part and not on ideological and political preparation. This work offers specific suggestions for teachers and the teaching process in general, to train young people capable of assuming the mission of national revitalization and being continuators of the socialist cause.
