Choice of a reading model for the subject Reading in Spanish in Chinese universities
Keywords:
reading model, reading in Spanish as a foreign language, Chinese universitiesAbstract
The study of Spanish in China needs to improve the teaching-learning of reading in Spanish, an essential component in the appropriation of this foreign language and a complex cognitive process, in which Chinese students present insufficiencies in the comprehension of sentences, the distinction between central ideas and details, as well as the inference of meanings among other skills. In this sense, this work aims to support the choice of a reading model for the subject Reading in Spanish through the systematization of reading models in foreign languages, the analysis of the characteristics of this subject and the learning problems of Chinese university students. Documentary analysis, historical-logical method, analysis-synthesis and deduction-induction were used to carry out the study. It was found that each model reflects from different perspectives the features and regularities of the reading process. The results obtained allowed to assume the interactive model and offer the recommendations for its application in the referred subject in the Chinese context.
