During the Third Improvement of the National Education System of the Republic of Cuba, the adoption of actions in favor of the educational care of students, who for various reasons cannot attend school, gains greater strength. In this situation, the recommended modality is the itinerant educational service. Its implementation varies according to the characteristics of the students, their families, the contexts and the agents and agencies involved. In the Minas de Matahambre municipality, Pinar del Río province, limitations have been found in the cohesion of actions between different agents and agencies due to the rural conditions, far from each case and from the educational and health institutions themselves. To delve into this situation, theoretical and empirical methods were applied and descriptive statistics were used, which made possible the initial characterization of the itinerant educational service for students with physical-motor disabilities at the Carlos Juan Finlay Barrés special school. As a result, the main regularities of the itinerant educational servise process were determined, necessary for the establishment of a networking strategy that promotes the improvement of the educational modality studied.
