En el proceso de formación de recursos humanos las competencias profesionales no deben responder exclusivamente a las exigencias del mercado limitándose a los componentes científico-técnicos, sino que deben tener en cuenta también el compromiso ético y los valores personales del profesional. En Cuba, el escenario de formación de los especialistas de Pediatría se desarrolla en los servicios asistenciales siguiendo el principio rector de la educación médica cubana - la educación en el trabajo - la cual contempla dentro de su función educativa la formación de valores y la conducta ética. El objetivo del artículo es: argumentar la necesaria correspondencia entre la formación por competencias, el comportamiento ético y la adquisición de valores en el proceso formativo del especialista en Pediatría en Cuba.
Abstract:
In the process of formation of human resources, professional competencies must not only respond to the market demands focusing on the scientific and technical components but also to the professional’s ethical commitment and personal values. In Cuba formation settings of specialist in pediatrics are medical institutions following the guiding principle of Cuban Medical Education: In-service education which comprises within its educational function the formation of values and an ethical behavior. The objective of the article is to support the necessary correspondence between the formation of competencies, ethical behavior and the acquisition of values in the formative process of the specialist on pediatrics
