Este artículo trata abordar el pensamiento pedagógico del Dr. Salvador Massip Valdés, educador que desarrolló el carácter científico de la Geografía y de su enseñanza, al utilizar y dar a conocer los métodos de enseñanza que promueven el aprendizaje desarrollador en la asignatura de Geografía, entre ellos la excursión docente, esta forma de organización permite que los estudiantes vincularan la escuela con la vida, la teoría con la práctica, en tal sentido, según el Dr. Salvador Massip Valdés, la excursión docente favorece el contacto directo con la realidad, permite que los estudiantes sean capaces de resolver problemas que se presentan en la vida práctica y participen activamente en el mejoramiento de su entorno; constituye una forma más de organización del proceso docente educativo; hace posible que el aprendizaje se realice de forma más interesante y objetiva, de modo que la teoría estudiada en el aula se relacione con la práctica ejercida en el entorno.
Abstract:
This article allows to approach to the Dr. Salvador Massip 's pedagogic thought where he developed the scientific character of the Geography and its teaching, when he used and gave information about the teaching methods that promote the learning development in the subject of Geography, among them the educational trip, this organization form allowed the students to link the school with the life, the theory with the practice, in such sense according to Massip, the educational trip favors the direct contact with the reality, it allows the students to be able to solve problems that are presented in the practical life and participate actively in the improvement of its environment, it constitutes another form of organization of the Educational Teaching Process, it makes possible that the learning is carried out in a more interesting and objective way, so the theory studied in the classroom must be related with the practice exercised in its environment.
