¿Es importante conocer los estilos de aprendizaje de los estudiantes?

Conocer cómo aprenden los estudiantes (sus estilos de aprendizaje) resulta de importancia, cuando el interés es intencionar el proceso de enseñanza -aprendizaje hacia el desarrollo de los mismos, como una manera de contribuir a su formación integral.
En este trabajo se presentan algunos criterios de autores que tratan esta temática y los resultados del diagnóstico de los estilos de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de tercer año en la asignatura Anatomía Fisiológica en la carrera de Farmacia en el Instituto de Farmacia y Alimentos de la Universidad de La Habana, empleando el modelo de Grasha y Riechman, el cual clasifica los estilos de aprendizaje en tres dimensiones bipolares: autónomos/dependiente, colaborativo/competitivo, participativo/no participativo. Se aplicó la encuesta a 54 estudiantes resultando el estilo mayoritario el colaborativo y el participativo, estando presente en el grupo todos los estilos. Este diagnóstico posibilita la orientación del profesor a un aprendizaje más eficaz.
Abstract:
To know how the students, learn (their learning styles) it is of importance, when the interest is lead the teaching process - leaning toward the development of the same ones, like a way of contributing to its integral formation.
In this work some approaches of authors related to this thematic is revised and the results of the diagnosis from the styles of learning to the third level students in the subject Physiologic Anatomy in the career of Pharmacy in the Institute of Pharmacy and Food of the University of Havana was applied, using the pattern of Grasha and Riechman. This pattern classifies the learning styles in three bipolar dimensions: autonomy/dependent, collaborative/competitive, participative/no participative. The survey was applied to 54 students with the majority style being collaborative and participatory, with all styles present in the group. This diagnosis enables the teacher's orientation to more effective learning.
