La Educación tiene como función esencial, preparar, en un proceso continuo, al hombre para la vida y lo debe hacer esencialmente en la vida, para lograr que todos o la mayoría de todos los ciudadanos de un país sean capaces de enfrentarse a los problemas que se les presentan en sus puestos de trabajo, en su vida personal y los resuelvan. Debe contribuir, al mantenimiento y desarrollo de su cultura, en su concepción más amplia, abarca sus tradiciones, costumbres, creación artística y de conocimientos. De forma tal que su apropiación, en forma permanente, devenga en fuente nutricia de realización personal, de valores éticos y estéticos, que hagan de sus actividades, ya sea laboral, intelectual, doméstica o de cualquier tipo, un acto de creación, un acto de cooperación. El presente artículo refiere un estudio de la educación cubana y su evolución histórica. Mediante el empleo de diferentes métodos se obtuvieron como principales resultados: los momentos históricos que marcaron la vida de los cubanos que a su vez conllevaron a transformaciones necesarias en la educación después del triunfo de la Revolución. El papel que jugó el pueblo ante cada tarea, la dedicación y perseverancia de sus principales promotores sin cejar nunca en el empeño de formar la patria culta que somos hoy y las consideraciones sobre el accionar en el contexto nacional e internacional. Abstract:
Education has as an essential function, to prepare, in a continuous process, man for life and must do it essentially in life, to ensure that all or most of all citizens of a country are able to face the problems that they are presented to them in their jobs, in their personal lives and resolved. It must contribute, to the maintenance and development of its culture, in its broadest conception, encompasses its traditions, customs, artistic creation and knowledge. In such a way that their appropriation, permanently, becomes a nutritious source of personal fulfillment, of ethical and aesthetic values, that make their activities, whether labor, intellectual, domestic or of any kind, an act of creation, an act of cooperation This article refers to a study of Cuban education and its historical evolution. Through the use of different methods, the main results were obtained: the historical moments that marked the lives of Cubans that in turn led to necessary transformations in education after the triumph of the Revolution. The role played by the people in the face of each task, the dedication and perseverance of their main promoters without ever giving up the effort to form the cultured homeland that we are today and the considerations on action in the national and international context. Study of special importance to enrich the history of education and the work of teachers.
