Las particularidades de Enfermería como disciplina, la importancia de la motivación profesional en los estudiantes para el desarrollo de un proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje exitoso y la labor del profesor como facilitador de éste proceso desde su actividad docente diaria constituyen afirmaciones que sostienen que los estudios investigativos sobre motivación en la carrera de Enfermería son una necesidad dado las altas exigencias sociales en el futuro desempeño de éstos profesionales, es por ello que en ésta investigación se realizó un estudio descriptivo con el objetivo de identificar el nivel de motivación por la carrera, en los estudiantes de 1er año de la Formación Técnica en Enfermería de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas “Victoria de Girón” curso 2017-2018. El universo estuvo constituido por los 33 estudiantes de la formación técnica, nivel de ingreso duodécimo grado, a los que se les aplicó una encuesta para valorar motivación. Concluyéndose que el 75,7% de los estudiantes están motivados por la profesión y un 24,3% no siente motivación, esto influye directamente en los resultados académicos por lo que se recomendó fortalecer con nuevas acciones o estrategias el proyecto educativo integral llevado a cabo por los profesores de las asignaturas que integran el curriculum, con especial énfasis en el 1er año de la carrera.
Abstract:
The particularities of Nursing as a discipline, the importance of professional motivation in students for the development of a successful teaching-learning process and the teacher's work as a facilitator of this process from their daily teaching activity are statements that sustain that research studies on Nursing career motivation are a necessity given the high social demands in the future performance of these professionals, that is why in this research a descriptive study was conducted with the objective of identifying the level of motivation for the career, in the students of the 1st year of the Technical Training in Nursing of the Faculty of Medical Sciences "Victoria de Girón" course 2017-2018. The universe was constituted by the 33 students of the technical formation, level of entrance twelfth grade, to which a survey was applied to them to value motivation. Concluding that 75.7% of the students are motivated by the profession and 24.3% do not feel motivated, this directly influences the academic results so it was recommended to strengthen with new actions or strategies the integral educational project carried out by the teachers of the subjects that make up the curriculum, with special emphasis on the first year of the race.
